Integrity bypass via truncated PKCS#12 MAC comparison
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Improper MAC verification in wolfSSL 3.10.0 through 5.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to accept tampered PKCS#12 data. The PKCS#12 verification path compares its computed HMAC with the parsed MAC using the attacker-supplied MAC length without requiring the digest lengths to match. Reachability requires an application to process attacker-supplied PKCS#12 data with PKCS#12 support enabled; exploitation defeats integrity checking without reported confidentiality or availability effects.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
