Process memory corruption via unchecked CFF writes
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in LibreOffice 26.2 through 26.2.4 allows attackers to corrupt process memory during PDF export. The CFF-to-Type 1 converter writes glyph operators into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking its remaining capacity, so a glyph emitting enough operators writes past its end. Triggering the flaw requires a document with an embedded CFF font and a user-initiated PDF export; no stronger consequence than process-memory corruption is documented.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
