File disclosure and SSRF via HLS playlists
Published Oct 5, 2026 · Updated Oct 5, 2026
The Document Foundation LibreOffice 26.2 before 26.2.5 allows remote attackers to induce local file reads and GET requests via a crafted document. On Linux, linked media can name an HLS playlist whose entries GStreamer follows while the document loads, allowing fetched contents to enter the document. A Linux user must open the document; the advisory does not establish automatic exfiltration of local file contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
