Authenticated code execution via SQL-controlled deserialization
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
SQL injection and unsafe deserialization in Koollab LMS 5.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary server code. The manual mark assessment endpoint permits injected SQL to control data passed to unserialize(), which writes a webshell into a publicly accessible location. A valid account and network access to the endpoint are required; successful exploitation grants command execution on the hosted server.
