LAN access via unrestricted SSH port forwarding
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Improper endpoint restriction in Ricoh printers and MFPs allows remote attackers to relay traffic to arbitrary LAN hosts through SSH. The devices' SSH service accepts port-forwarding requests without restricting the forwarding destination, turning the device into a network relay. Exploitation requires SSH to be enabled and exposes connectivity to other LAN nodes without reported device data modification or service interruption.
