Account takeover via predictable password-reset tokens
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Predictable reset tokens in Omnispace Agora-Project before 26.10.0 allow remote attackers to take over accounts via password reset. The password-reset mechanism derives a deterministic, reusable token from login and password values rather than an independent recovery secret. Exploitation requires deriving or guessing those values but requires neither an authenticated session nor user interaction; access is bounded by the compromised account's permissions.
