Cross-organization attachment disclosure via pass-through authorization traversal
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Broken object-level authorization in TheHive 4.1.24 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read other organizations' attachments. AttachmentSrv.visible returns an unfiltered attachment traversal, so download handlers resolve an attacker-supplied content hash without organization or case scope. Any authenticated role on a shared instance can retrieve another tenant's stored case evidence when a valid attachment hash is known or obtained.
