Unauthenticated SSRF via unvalidated multimodal image URLs
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
SSRF in Text Generation Inference 3.3.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to issue arbitrary HTTP GET requests via image_url. The fetch_image function passes the supplied URL to reqwest without excluding private, loopback, link-local, or metadata addresses and permits redirects. Unauthenticated access to a vision-model deployment is sufficient; internal scanning and cloud metadata credential theft are the bounded consequences.
