CVE-2026-63041Network attack vector

Authorization bypass via forwarded client-supplied label headers

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Header trust failure in Apache APISIX 3.11.0 through 3.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to bypass upstream authorization. In attach-consumer-label, before_proxy returns early when the authenticated consumer has no labels, leaving configured client-supplied headers intact instead of clearing them before proxying. A valid credential and a route using the plugin are required; forged consumer-label headers can then influence upstream privilege or authorization decisions.
