Access-control bypass via strippable trust headers
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Header spoofing in Fabiolb Fabio 1.6.6 through 1.7.1 allows remote attackers to strip configured trust headers via HTTP requests. HTTPProxy.ServeHTTP sets operator-named headers before Go ReverseProxy deletes every header named by the inbound Connection field. Exposure requires a nonempty client-IP, TLS, or request-ID header option and can corrupt authorization or audit signals consumed by the backend.
