CVE-2026-62948Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped DHCPv6 lease hostname

Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026

Stored XSS in OpenWrt odhcpd and LuCI before 25.12.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's session via DHCPv6. The state-file writers store option 39 hostnames without escaping newlines, enabling forged lease rows that LuCI passes to innerHTML. The attacker must be on the LAN, and execution occurs only when an authenticated administrator opens the DHCPv6 leases page, where script can act through that session.
