Account takeover via brute-forceable email login codes

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Authentication bypass in Typebot 3.17.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over accounts via brute-forced email login codes. The Nodemailer provider generates raw six-digit codes with Math.random(), while its callback neither limits failed attempts nor consumes the valid code after a wrong guess. Exploitation requires a known victim email address and an enabled email provider but no victim interaction; OAuth- or SSO-only deployments are unaffected.
