Unauthorized access via unlimited password guessing
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Weak password controls in Horner Automation Cscape 10.0, XL4 PLC 16.32.0, and XL7 PLC 15.60 allow remote attackers to obtain passwords. The authentication flow accepts passwords of limited complexity and applies no delay or attempt limit to repeated network guesses. Network reachability to a PLC is sufficient to enumerate credentials, enabling unauthorized access to protected systems and services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
