Unauthenticated privilege elevation via signature verification failure
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Improper cryptographic signature verification in Microsoft Azure Data Factory allows remote attackers to elevate privileges over a network. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected verification locus or the operation that accepts an invalid signature. Exploitation requires no prior privileges but does require user interaction, and successful attacks can expose or alter protected data without interrupting service.
