CVE-2026-62822Network attack vector

Remote code execution via GDI+ integer overflow

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Integer overflow in Windows GDI+ on supported Microsoft Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted content. Microsoft has disclosed only that GDI+ mishandles arithmetic on untrusted input; public sources do not name the parsing routine, image format, or exact code path behind the wraparound. Although scored as network-reachable, exploitation requires user interaction such as opening or previewing attacker-supplied content, and code runs in the context of the process that renders it.
