Information disclosure via DHCP integer underflow
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Information disclosure in Windows DHCP Server in Microsoft Windows allows adjacent remote attackers to read process memory on affected hosts. Microsoft has disclosed only that an integer underflow in DHCP Server causes an out-of-bounds read; no public advisory, CVE record, or patch diff names the vulnerable function or the specific DHCP field used in the arithmetic error. Reachability is limited to attackers on the same local network segment that can send DHCP traffic to the server, and published scoring bounds the impact to confidentiality rather than code execution or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
