Unauthenticated code execution via unvalidated CV uploads
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Career Section 1.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP through the public CV submission form. The handler in templates/single-csection.php sanitizes the supplied filename but performs no extension or MIME-type validation before moving it into a web-accessible uploads directory. Exploitation requires an active job listing, but no account is needed because the form exposes its nonce to visitors; uploaded server-executable files grant code execution.
