CVE-2026-62681Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via unescaped path backticks

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Code injection in route generation in Orval before 8.21.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript via crafted OpenAPI paths. In packages/core/src/getters/route.ts, spec-controlled path text is emitted into backtick-delimited request URL template literals without escaping, so an embedded backtick closes the literal and subsequent path text becomes a live concatenation expression. Exposure requires generating clients from an attacker-controlled or attacker-influenced OpenAPI description and then calling the generated request, URL-builder, or query-key code in developer, CI, test, or application environments.
