Authenticated file deletion via unchecked profile path
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Path traversal in gVectors Team wpForo Forum 3.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. Members::update() accepts an arbitrary path in a file-type custom profile field, while ucf_file_delete() passes a path that wpforo_fix_upload_dir() may leave unchanged to unlink(). Subscriber-level access and a file custom field supplied by the wpForo User Custom Fields add-on are required; deleting wp-config.php can enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
