Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Stored XSS in Simple Random Posts Shortcode 0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The simple_random_posts shortcode inserts the user-controlled container_right_width value into rendered HTML without sanitizing the attribute or escaping its output. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload in page content, and the script runs when a visitor opens the affected page.
