CVE-2026-62380Network attack vector

Domain and credential injection via unvalidated encoder fields

Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026

Null byte injection in Netty SOCKS client encoders through 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final allows attackers to alter proxy fields. Socks4ClientEncoder and Socks5ClientEncoder serialize unvalidated NUL bytes and CRLF characters in domain, userid, username, and password values. Exploitation requires attacker control of values passed by consuming code and can redirect domains, truncate identities, or inject authentication data.
