CVE-2026-62378Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator account takeover via extension-based PDF preview

Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026

Stored XSS in RustFS Console 0.1.7 through 0.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to steal administrator credentials via PDF preview. The preview modal routes objects ending in .pdf to its PDF viewer without requiring application/pdf, so attacker-supplied HTML executes in the Console origin. Exploitation requires object upload access and an administrator to preview the object; the script can read AccessKeyId, SecretAccessKey, and SessionToken values.
