CVE-2026-62370Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded payload allocation

Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026

Memory exhaustion in affected KubeEdge CloudHub releases allows remote authenticated users to terminate CloudHub through crafted messages. Reader.Read in pkg/viaduct/pkg/packer trusts the 32-bit PackageHeader.PayloadLen and allocates its declared size before applying an upper bound. Repeated oversized declarations from an authenticated edge peer cause out-of-memory termination or restart loops that temporarily interrupt cloud-edge communication; the flaw grants neither unauthenticated access nor code execution.
