API token disclosure via auto-discovered configuration
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Information disclosure in Weblate Client before 2.0.1 allows attackers to obtain API tokens through untrusted project configuration. Its automatic configuration discovery accepts an API URL from .weblate, .weblate.ini, or weblate.ini and pairs it with an unscoped WLC_KEY or --key secret without requiring an explicitly pinned destination. Exploitation requires the client to run inside an attacker-influenced repository or beneath attacker-controlled ancestor configuration, after which the token is sent to the configured server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
