Migration interruption via missing kill-command authorization
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Missing authorization in TDengine Enterprise before 3.4.1.15 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt shared-storage migrations. The mndProcessKillSsMigrateReq handler resolves an attacker-supplied migration ID and calls mndKillSsMigrate while its MND_OPER_SSMIGRATE_DB privilege check is commented out. A low-privilege SQL account and an active migration ID are required; successful exploitation drops the migration task and interrupts database data movement.
