Forced login via unchecked OAuth state
Published Oct 15, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026
CSRF in social-auth-core before 5.0.2 allows remote attackers to force LINE logins via crafted OAuth callbacks. The LINE backend's LineOAuth2.auth_complete exchanges authorization codes without checking that the returned state matches the browser session. Exploitation requires an enabled LINE backend and a victim visiting the callback; account linking additionally permits a persistent unauthorized login path into an existing account.
