Authenticated file overwrite via unchecked upload path
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Path traversal in Hargata LubeLogger before 1.6.8 allows remote authenticated users to place or overwrite files outside storage. HandleTranslationFileUpload passes a client-supplied filename stem to RenameFile, which uses string replacement and moves the file without checking the resolved destination. Any authenticated non-administrative account can write to paths accessible to the application process, including configuration or web-content locations.
