Unauthenticated API access via empty JWT secret
Published Oct 7, 2026 · Updated Oct 7, 2026
Authentication bypass in QXIP B.V. HOMER 11.0.281 and earlier allows remote attackers to access protected APIs without credentials. When the JWT secret is empty, JWTMiddleware and JWTMiddlewareV4 pass requests onward without validation, and the coordinator does not register the protective middleware. The empty secret is the default when none is configured, exposing user, configuration, database connection, and stored VoIP data operations to reachable attackers.
