Privilege escalation via missing HTTP tool owner gate
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.6.5 allows remote authenticated users to invoke admin-scoped tools over HTTP. The tools.invoke path failed to pass caller ownership into tool resolution, so configured exposure overrides surfaced cron, gateway, and nodes wrappers without an operator.admin check. Exploitation requires an enabled, reachable HTTP tool path and a lower-trust identity; successful calls can execute privileged scheduling, Gateway, or paired-node actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
