Elevated action access via group ID misvalidation
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw 2026.3.22 through 2026.6.6-beta.2 allows remote authenticated users to invoke elevated actions. The WhatsApp authorization path treats a group ID as a sender identity when evaluating elevated sender allowlists, allowing a group match to substitute for an approved sender. Exploitation requires the affected WhatsApp feature to be enabled and reachable by lower-trust input, and grants only actions exposed by the configured elevated policy.
