Authorization bypass via remote symlink parents
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Symlink following in OpenClaw before 2026.6.9 allows remote authenticated users to bypass authorization in OpenShell mirror sync. The synchronization bridge accepts remote paths with symlinked parent components and follows them without preserving the managed workspace boundary. Exploitation requires mirror mode to be enabled and reachable by lower-trust input; the vendor describes only actions that should require a stronger policy or authorization check.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
