Root code execution via local-check bypass
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
Authentication bypass in Remote Spark SparkView before build 1122 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as root on the server. The gateway local-connection check trusts attacker-influenced connection context, but the vendor has not disclosed the exact input or code path. Unauthenticated reachability depends on the deployment's trustLocal configuration; successful exploitation grants root-level server control.
