Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized meta box output
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Plugin Planet User Submitted Posts 20260810 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject browser script. The plugin's meta box output lacks sufficient sanitization of stored values; the upstream changelog identifies that output as the corrected locus but does not name the field or function. Exploitation requires a low-privileged account and another user to open the affected WordPress view, where the script runs in that viewer's browser.
