Administrator RCE via configurable binary path
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Remote code execution in LibreNMS before 26.3.0 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to run host commands. The NetCommand.php AJAX controller builds a Process command using an executable from the administrator-controlled Binary Locations setting, while ip_or_hostname validates only the query prefix before a slash. An administrator can point whois at wget and then Bash through /ajax/netcmd, causing code to run as the LibreNMS service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
