Unauthenticated privilege escalation via HMAC algorithm confusion

Signature algorithm confusion in miniOrange SAML SP Single Sign On – Login with ADFS 5.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to forge assertions. The SAML validation path accepts the response's HMAC-SHA1 choice and feeds the identity provider's public RSA key to hash_hmac as a shared secret. A configured identity provider makes that key obtainable; account and role mappings determine which existing WordPress user's privileges the forged assertion grants.
