Code execution or crash via unchecked sprintf
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F456 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the router. The formWrlsafeset handler passes the user-controlled mit_ssid value to sprintf without a length check, overflowing its stack buffer. Low-privileged access to the web management endpoint is required; successful exploitation can execute code or interrupt the router service.
