Authenticated code execution via unchecked cmdinput copy
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F456 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router or execute code. The /goform/exeCommand handler's fromexeCommand function passes the user-controlled cmdinput value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing stack buffer s. Low-privileged web-management access is required; exploitation can interrupt routing service or run code with the httpd process's privileges.
