CVE-2026-61862

Single-byte disclosure via profile boundary over-read

Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-26 and 6.9.13-51 allows local users to disclose one memory byte through identify. The profile-printing path advances beyond a nonprintable profile's boundary and prints the adjacent byte instead of stopping at the recorded length. Debug output must be enabled, and the consequence is limited to one disclosed byte, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
