Dangerous SQL execution via incomplete query blocklist
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Improper input validation in the AI run_query tool in Chartbrew before 5.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute dangerous SQL. runQuery checks only seven forbidden keywords, then forwards unmatched statements and database functions to the connected database. Access requires authentication and the AI feature; file, network, privilege, command, or data effects depend on the database engine and account privileges.
