CVE-2026-61801Hinoki check available

Process crash via unbounded database-file parsing

Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026

DoS in Moby Project Moby Sys user before 0.4.1 allows attackers to exhaust process memory via crafted user or group database files. ParseGroupFilter appends input chunks into wholeLine without a size limit, and file-based lookup paths read database files without a total-byte cap. Exposure requires an application to parse attacker-controlled files; exhausting available memory terminates the affected process.
