Tenant-scoped denial of service via wrong regex validation
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Improper input validation in Project Capsule Capsule 0.13.0 through 0.13.6 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt namespace admission. Tenant update validation compiles ForbiddenLabels.Regex when checking annotations, allowing malformed ForbiddenAnnotations.Regex to reach regexp.MustCompile. Administrator permission to update a Tenant is required; namespace creation or update can then panic admission for that tenant.
