Unauthenticated SQL execution via HTTP DNS rebinding
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Origin validation errors in Bytebase DBHub 0.22.4 and earlier allow remote attackers to invoke MCP tools through DNS rebinding. The src/server.ts middleware trusts any Origin hostname equal to Host and reflects that Origin into CORS, so a rebound attacker-controlled name passes. Exploitation requires opt-in HTTP transport and a victim visit to a malicious site; exposed MCP permissions then determine database read or write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
