Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored XSS in BoldThemes Bold Page Builder 5.7.2 and earlier lets remote authenticated users inject scripts through section background images. The bt_bb_section shortcode handles the user-supplied background_image attribute without sufficient sanitization or output escaping when rendering a page. Contributor-level content editing is required; the stored script executes in a visitor's browser when the affected page is opened.
