Stored XSS via unescaped image caption
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored XSS in BoldThemes Bold Page Builder 5.7.2 and earlier lets remote authenticated users inject scripts through image captions. The bt_bb_image shortcode insufficiently sanitizes its user-controlled caption attribute and renders it without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to place the payload; the script executes when another user opens the affected page.
