Unauthenticated session binding via empty OAuth state
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
OAuth state validation bypass in Hatchet before 0.91.1 allows remote attackers to bind a victim session to an attacker-controlled identity. ValidateOAuthState clears oauth_state_ to an empty string after a successful callback, then treats a later empty state parameter as equal. Exploitation requires an enabled Google, GitHub, or Slack integration, prior OAuth completion in the current victim session, and victim interaction; the resulting identity binding compromises session integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
