Client denial of service via unbounded decompression
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Denial of service in Zapros before 0.14.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust client memory via a compressed HTTP response. Zapros streaming decoders returned the full decompressed output for each input chunk instead of enforcing the requested chunk_size bound. The client must stream an attacker-controlled compressed response through a built-in decoder; memory exhaustion can crash or hang the consuming process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
