Server-side code execution via unvalidated ZIP entries
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Path traversal in ellite Wallos before 4.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the database restore directory. The restore endpoint passes ZIP entry names to ZipArchive::extractTo() without rejecting parent-directory segments before extraction. Administrative access is required, and a crafted archive can place a PHP webshell in the webroot for server-side code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
