Internal network probing via unvalidated SMTP destination
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
SSRF in Wallos before 4.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to probe internal services through the test-email notification endpoint. The endpoint passes POST-supplied smtpaddress and smtpport values to PHPMailer without applying the available SSRF destination validation. Any authenticated account can supply the destination, exposing reachable internal services and cloud metadata to connection probes.
