Internal service access via unresolved DNS hostnames
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
SSRF in onData CKAN MCP Server before 0.4.108 allows remote authenticated users to access internal services via a crafted server_url. The validateServerUrl guard checks the supplied hostname string without resolving DNS, so a public name resolving internally passes validation. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction and can expose loopback services and cloud instance metadata.
