Unauthenticated handler invocation via ungated observability endpoints
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Improper access control in djust before 1.0.7 allows remote attackers to read live application state and invoke handlers. The observability views check only Django DEBUG because their localhost restriction is optional middleware omitted from the documented setup. Exposure requires DEBUG to be enabled and the middleware absent; reachable clients can inspect session state and call eval_handler.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
